I was born with crayons in my cradle and as a "maker," I truly believe that the arts are vital to who I am and what I do. I teach. I make. I craft. I share my talents with others in both my art teaching and my works of art. I am an advocate for individuals with special needs in community arts initiatives. As a licensed clinician and educator, I continue to have the rewarding experience of using my art in hospice care centers, schools, and expressive art modalities. I have been crafting narrative art quilts since 1998, combining my love for the intuitive process of collage with fabric and thread. In 1998, I was the grateful recipient of a Regional Artist Project Grant from the North Carolina Arts Council. As a visual artist, I exhibit my work in a variety of galleries as well as invite my customers to consider a work of art crafted on a commission basis. I focus on making works of art and fine craft of the highest quality and craftsmanship.
